【Historic Momument】Seisan Sou (Japan/Ibaraki)【Tokugawa family】

Today I will introduce you about Seisan-Sou (西山壮).
This is the house where he lived later until the death of Tokugawa Mitsukuni, known as "Mito Komon".
Tokugawa Mitsukuni is the grandson of Tokugawa Ieyasu, the first shogun (political leader) of Edo shogunate. He is a famous person who has accoplished many achivements such as flood contorol. He is also the main character of the famous drama "Mito Komon" in Japan and is populer as a hero of justice that disciplines the bad guys.
Here he is supervised the compilation of "The History Of Dai Nippon (Japanese history book)".
The Tokugawa family crest is depicted on the box, and you can see it here.
Here you can enjoy different expressions for each season. Plum blossoms in spring, fresh green in summer, colored leaves in autumn, and snow in winter.

- Fee: Adult ¥1200 Child ¥900
- Open: 9:00~16:00
- Accese: Take the Joban Line (JR常磐線) from Ueno Station to Mito Station. Change to the Suigun Line (水郡線) and go to Hitatiota Station frome Mito Station. And it takes 5 minutes by taxi from Hitachiota Station.
